Home Decor DIY: Turn Used Perfume Bottles into Vases

DIY Vase

Hello world,

Yes, world because my blog is read by people all over the world. It doesn't matter whether you comment or not, my stats tell me that you visit my blog. You can run, you can hide, but you can't escape my love.

Okay, I should come directly towards today's topic and not let you give any chances to gauge my mental state. Todayyyyyyy, I am going to share with you guys how I turned used perfume bottles into vases.

I have said it before and I am going to reiterate that I try my best to recycle things and to me there is nothing that is junk. So, when two of my perfume bottles emptied at the same time, I gave it a thought before putting them in the garbage. Then, I moved to Pinterest and I saw how perfume bottles can be turned into vases. I googled it, but couldn't find any tutorial, but I found some videos on YouTube. Although, those videos did not show step by step guide, I just took a rough idea from those tutorials and I knew that I can do that. Yesssss, I can do that!

I tried out the main trick and luckily succeeded. Today, I would share with all of you the way in which you can turn used perfume bottles into vase.

To do this DIY, you will need used perfume bottles as many as you have and a piler.

First of all, you need to take out the top most sprayer nozzle which can easily be detached by simply pulling it up. That's the easiest step in this whole process.

Now comes the hardest part. Take your piler and start moving it round and pulling the upper round nozzle of the bottle in upward direction. Initially, you may feel that nothing would happen to it and you would need metal cutter to get rid of this. But, trust me if you keep on playing around this, you will succeed. Also, there is no need to touch the lower round part as it is not going to move and it remains attached with the glass.

When I kept trying, I began to get the results. When you see some plastic surface appearing, it means you are going in the right direction.

Keep on doing that and you will get rid of the upper nozzle and all the plastic installment and spray pipe would come out.

Now you can add water or whatever you want to deck up these bottles. I added pink and purple sprinkles. I thought, it would look great when these sprinkles will float in water, but unfortunately these sprinkles got dissolved when I added the water. Shit happens.

I also added ribbons on top to give these bottles a finesse and to hide broken part.

I placed two complimenting flowers and placed these perfume bottles on a table.

I would not say that its easy to turn these bottles into vases, the process is tough and takes time. I would recommend you to wear gloves while doing this. It does not hurt, but when you exert pressure on the nozzle through piler, it may cause rashes and marks on your hands.

I think, you guys should try this as you can deck up these bottles as you wish.

    1. Shaima, first of all I can't thank you enough to come to blog, read and comment.
Yessssss, who doesn't like Enrique! He is amazing!
The color in water came through sprinkles. I added these sprinkles because I want them to float in the bottle, but they got dissolved totally. How unfortunate and unfair na!
      Love you <3
