Mansha Pasha

Do you remember Aaliya in "Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai" and Sidra in "Zindagi Gulzar Hai?" These famous characters were played by talented and beautiful actress - Mansha Pasha. I absolutely love her style. She never do anything over the top and always exude effortless chicness. I also love her voice and the way she talks. I got the chance to ask a few questions related to fashion, beauty and style. Read on and get to know her fashionable side :)

Mansha Pasha

How did you get your first break in the field of acting?
I started of as a line producer and people from that team wanted me to try my luck in acting. i gave it a shot and luckily it worked. Since then, I have been given new roles which gave me chance to work with new teams and portray different roles.

Tell me something about your childhood and education.
As a kid, I was into artsy stuff. I have three sisters who are very intelligent, they always scored good grades and I never liked being compared to them. I was never studious, but I got my focus back when I was in college and ended up completing my degree with flying colors. I did my Bachelors in Media Science from USA.

Being in media is considered as all glamorous and easy. Is it actually like that?
In this field, things are not exactly as they seem. It all looks glamorous at a glance, but that is not the reality! In reality, it is tough and as demanding as any other profession. Sometimes shoots go on for never ending hours and you cant even take a nap in between scenes as it affects your looks and appearance.

Balancing work and life is an arduous task. How do you manage your personal life and career?
You have to keep it organized and scheduled. My husband is also a documentary filmmaker, so he travels a lot for his work. A lot f times, when he is at home, I have to go for a shoot and when he travels, I get some free time; this way, we do not get enough time to spend with each other. But, we both understand each others' professional requirement so we make it work somehow. I cook food and do other household stuff. Keeping a schedule for all the home chores helps me in managing my professional deadlines.

What do you think about the Pakistan's fashion industry and its progress?
I think Pakistani fashion industry is doing well. With all the progress that this industry has made, there is something for everyone. I really like the fusion of east and west. There are some designers who are modish and follow international trends; whereas, there are some who like to bring the elements of tradition and desi style in their designs.

What is your personal style?
I like to keep it simple, yet trendy. I am among those who prefer to be elegant and poised. I also believe in wearing clothes in which you are comfortable and that you can carry well.

Who is your favorite model?
I think Cybil Choudhry is amazing; she is doing a good job.

Who is your favorite makeup artist?
There are many, but I personally like Beenish Hafeez. She always does a great job and gives me a new look every now and then and above all she knows my face well.

Favorite brand to wear?
When I am shopping in Karachi, then Mango is a good place to shop at. Among local designers, I like Nida Azwer.

Favorite Color?
Any color that looks good on me.
